ENDEMIC ANIMALS AND PLANTS
As of the date above, the 310 taxa in this list are definitely or probably endemic to Nevada. This means that they occur naturally only in Nevada and nowhere else in the world. The column headed End shows whether each species is definitely or probably endemic, and the column headed Track indicates whether the species is a sensitive plant or animal, a watch-list species, or is not tracked by the Nevada Natural Heritage Program. A handful of Nevada endemics are common and secure enough that they are not currently of conservation concern. We welcome documentation for taxa that should be added to or removed from this list. Older editions of this list remain available on-line.
